The novel follows the lives of four women: Sarah, a successful businesswoman who is diagnosed with breast cancer; Nancy, a stay-at-home mom who is struggling to cope with her husband's recent diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease; Judy, a widow who is trying to find her place in the world after her husband's death; and Maria, a young woman who is struggling with the challenges of being a single mother.

About the Author
Loretta Ellsworth is a breast cancer survivor and the author of the memoir The Other Side of Cancer: A Survivor's Story. She is a passionate advocate for cancer awareness and support, and she speaks regularly to groups about her experience with cancer.
Ellsworth is a graduate of the University of Iowa and the University of Southern California. She lives in California with her husband and two children.
